Lora is a well balanaced, contemporary serif font with roots in calligraphy. A paragraph set in Lora will make a memorable appearance because of its brushed curves, in contrast with driving serifs. The overall typographic voice of Lora perfectly conveys the mood of a modern-day story, or an art essay. While optimized for screen appearance it works equally well in print.
Lora was created by Olga Karpushina and Alexei Vanyashin, the duo behind Cyreal-fonts, a collaborative platform that produces quality open-source fonts. All of Cyreals fonts, including Lora, are available for free on github and are free to use for commercial projects, including mobile apps.
Lora is a Unicode typeface family that supports languages that use the Latin and Cyrillic scripts and its variants. Its available in four font weights and also is available as a variable font.
